ACQUISITION: Superior Iron Works
In 2024, Extreme Steel acquired Superior Iron Works (Superior), the leading Washington, DC metro-based complex metal fabricator and erector. Superior is recognized for its capabilities to fabricate and install complex roof structures, shade structures, canopy structures and stair rails. The Company works primarily on commercial projects split equally between new construction and renovation of landmark buildings.
Distinguished by a strong reputation and long-standing customer relationships with the largest general contractors in the DC area, Superior receives requests from these contractors based upon its reputation for high-quality service.
Certified by American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) for erection and fabrication, the most recognized national quality certification program for the industry, Superior undergoes rigorous annual audits.
